Any of you guys have tire/wheel plans yet? And what are the specs on the factory wheels?

I feel like the gladiator either needs to be a “mild” DD build with a small lift and 35’s or you need to go large lift, beadlocks, and 40’s lol

I will be curious to see the wheel and tire choices people make

I’m debating using factory wheels and 37’s.
Thats what I've done. It's working out just fine. I tried first just lifting the front 2.5 inches with no wheel spacers and had no problems. I did install 2" wheel spacers after the fact to give it a wider stance. I haven't wheeled it much as it is my DD. The stock springs and shocks are holding up great to the 37's on the road.

We're gonna go big right off the bat. 40's for sure but not 100% sure on what wheels yet being that we'll most likely need 8-lug and there aren't too many beadlocks in that bolt pattern. I do like the Machetes and of course, the Robby Gordon's but would be open to other options if I can find something I like.

17" x 7.5" with 6.1" backspace is the factory wheels to include the steel spare.
Sounds correct to me. Just like the JL

So if I wanted to put on 35s, should I be looking for wheels with 4.5 inch backspacing?

Nice. Can't wait to see it.

Yes, with 35's, 4.5" would be a good back spacing to go with. Hell, you could probably run 5" or even 5.5" but you won't find too many wheels with that much backspacing or at least, ones that I would want on my Jeep.

Oh and I should note, I pulled the trigger and ordered up a set of these.

Not exactly the cheapest wheel in the world but I do like the look of them. :)

Sweet, Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I'm getting excited and trying to plan all this out.

Those look sweet. Can't wait to see them on the truck.

Yup. Wanted something a bit different on the JT. I think they still look good :)
I agree. Hopefully someone comes out with something different in the next year or so. Beadlocks have gotten boring the last two years. Nothing seems new or crazy different anymore. Hell, who knows, maybe that’s a good thing.

I would agree. I’ve been looking at options for the JK but they all just look the same. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but some better variety would be nice sometimes.

I actually wanted to test out a set of ProComps but they don't come in an 8-lug. There's a nice bronze one made by Method but again, it's not made in an 8-lug.

What procomps were you looking at? I’m trying to find something that’s not over done for my JT.
