Jeep JT Gladiator Wheel and Tire thread

I plan on doing mild off roading with 90% of my driving being HWY with some towing thrown in. Plans are a lift of no more than 2.5 and 37 tires. My concerns are that 37`s might be much for the drive train and steering components . Am i being overly cautious and over thinking this? Thoughts?

Time will tell but many Rubicon JL owners have been running 37s on the same axles with no issues so far. What trim are you running?

Im considering a Gladiator Sport S with the max tow package which comes with the beefier axles and 4.10 gears. Would 37's be too much of a strain for that setup? Top of the World trail in Moab is about the most extreme wheeling for me, so I wouldnt be going on any crazy trails. Also would a 2" lift be tall enough for 37's?

Same axles as the Rubicon trim (minus lockers) and plenty of guys are doing 37s on the Rubicons. With that being said, I'm not sure how many are actually taking them out wheeling yet. I would think you'd need more than 2 inches of lift to actually use a Sport with 37s offroad without rubbing. I just put 35s on mine (Sport S Max Tow) with no lift and I know for sure it would rub offroad. It doesn't rub on the street though. I will say this though, with 35s, I noticed no power loss, it's awesome.

I have the Sting Grey JTR with the TeraFlex 1.5 inch front spacer lift with stock 17 inch wheels and the MS Patagonia 35 x 12.50's.
I wanted to run 35s for now and then go 37 or 38 later on. Wanted to see the capabilities with stock suspension with no lift and 35s before committing to all the other work likely needed to run larger than 35s.
So far, the MS Patagonias have been amazing on and off road. They are amazingly quiet on road.
When I went off road with this setup i had no rubbing and no issues and took on some fairly large 2 foot boulders. Very happy so far and looking to run it on more trails soon to see how it does. I would suggest this setup for those wanting to stay as close to stock and not spend a fortune on all the upgrade for larger specs if not really needed.
